If you still have that problem after updating WIN from 8 to 10, or only after updating herose - it is propably caused by missing dll files!
Here is what you should do: 1. Click with right button on HOMM3 2. No need to DL anything. Its all already on your PC you just have to install it. I am still playing heroes and even with the horn of the abyss mod.
